What Is Coach Supervision?

Coach Supervision is a dedicated, protected space for reflection, insight, and growth. It’s a collaborative conversation between a coach and a supervisor, or a small group of coaches and a supervisor, designed to support your ongoing development and well-being in practice.

This isn’t about evaluation or judgment. It’s about creating a safe and supportive environment where you can pause, reflect, and gain clarity.

Coach Supervision is recognized by the Association for Coaching (AC) as an essential component of professional development, helping coaches sustain ethical, effective, and fulfilling practices.

Why It Matters:
The Benefits of Supervision

When you invest in supervision, you give yourself a space to:

-
Enhance coaching quality by reflecting on real sessions, questioning assumptions, and exploring alternate approaches.

-
Strengthen ethics and accountability. Supervision gives you a safe place to bring tricky boundary or ethical issues.

-
Reveal blind spots, unconscious patterns, triggers, or biases can be surfaced in supervision.

-
Support your wellbeing. Coaching is deeply human work; supervision offers emotional support, containment, and perspective.

-
Encourage innovation & creativity. Discussing cases beyond the obvious can spark new interventions or tools.

-
Foster professional identity & confidence. Supervision helps you lean into who you’re becoming as a coach, not just what you do.

Because the coaching profession continues to evolve, having a supervision practice helps you stay current, rigorous, and resilient.
My Approach

My approach to supervision goes beyond simply helping you grow as a coach... I hold space for you as a whole human being.

Because who you are being shapes how you coach.

Supervision isn’t just about techniques or competencies; it’s about the inner you: your energy, mindset, triggers, values, and how all of that shows up in your work with clients.

In our sessions, I create a reflective and compassionate space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and reconnect with your purpose and confidence.

I draw on the Association for Coaching’s Supervision Competency Framework, blending reflection, ethics, and personal growth through a warm, relational lens.

Here’s how we’ll work together

-
Setting the Space. We start by clarifying what you need from supervision and co-creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and confidential.

-
Reflective Exploration. This is your time to bring whatever is on your mind... client cases, challenges in your coaching business, or even personal experiences that are showing up in your work. We’ll explore the moments that stretch you, surprise you, or invite growth.

-
Seeing the Bigger Picture. We look beyond individual sessions to notice patterns, systems, and unseen dynamics... whether in your client’s world, their organizational context, or your own coaching environment.

-
Ethical & Professional Grounding. We’ll talk through real dilemmas, boundaries, and ethical questions so you can stay confident, clear, and aligned in your practice.

-
Human Connection & Growth. Supervision isn’t just about technique... it’s about you. We’ll focus on your energy, well-being, and identity as a coach and person, helping you stay grounded, resourced, and connected to your values.

-
You can work with me 1:1 or in a small group, whichever feels right for you.

Coaching is deeply human work supervision should be, too.

FAQ

IS supervision like being judged or audited?
Not at all. Supervision is about support, reflection, and growth, not evaluation or policing. It’s a safe, trusting space.

How often should I have supervision?
It depends on your caseload, complexity, and growth goals. Many coaches start monthly or bi-monthly. The key is consistency.

Can I bring any case?
Yes! Tricky client situations, ethical dilemmas, emotional resonance, patterns you notice, boundary questions - all are valid material for supervision.

If you’re ready to move beyond solo struggle, to ground your practice in integrity, curiosity, and reflective power, supervision offers that path.
